Stunning Property's Driveway

This gorgeous property is located in Cheshire. The client wanted their driveway area to be finished with a surface that is not only durable, but one that would be in-keeping with the desired style for his new house along side an Artificial Grass area that steps down into the main part of their Garden.

The first order of business for us was to get the levels corrected, helping us to create a flat area, allowing the turn table to be installed and the tiered sections with the steps leading into the lower garden. We created trenches for the Timber Sleeper Retainers, which would then have Blocks installed for a stronger solid edge, as well as a colour that matches the Bricks on the property. Another part of this stage was the two brick pillars that were built for the electrical gate to be fitted at the end project.

Once all the edging details had been installed we imported our base-work materials, this is done to ensure the ground is solid and also porous to prevent the surface holding water. We achieve a solid base by using a roller or whacker plate on the stone, in this case we used both. The tiered area was then in-filled and compacted with Kiln Dried Silica Sand, this prevents wrinkles in the Artificial Grass through use. Once the Artificial Grass was installed we used a Surface Brush to make the blades of the grass stand up.

The Resin Bonded Driveway was now ready to be installed. To make the surface as durable as it can be, we firstly use a Base Course Tarmacadam onto our compacted stone. Once completed and left to cure, we proceeded to lay the Resin Bonded Gravel and smooth it down to a level finish. We couldn't be happier with the finished area, nor could our client. All that was left to do was clean the area off and get the finished pictures for you to see!
